Serving

God has gifted each and every one of us and he wants us to use our gifts to serve others. Therefore we encourage every church member to find ways to use the gifts that God has given them. Sometimes these gifts are very visible – like being ‘up front’ reading the Bible in Church; however often our gifts are much more ‘invisible’ and behind the scenes – like cleaning, or doing administrative jobs, or cooking for a morning tea, or helping a family who are doing it tough. Whatever our gifts are, there are always ways that we can use them for the good of others, and for God’s glory.

PWA – Our PWA (Presbyterian Women’s Association) is part of a state and national network of ladies who have been serving God, the church and community with faithfulness and enthusiasm for over 100 years. Please contact us if you would like to know more about our local team of ladies who are involved in PWA. If you would like to know more about the larger network, just go here:  About PWA – Presbyterian Women’s Association (pwansw.org.au)

Trash & Treasure – one way we serve our community is by holding a monthly (first Friday of the month) Trash & Treasure store where we sell very cheaply (or just give away) items that are commonly needed.  Since the flood we have been unable to hold our normal Trash & Treasure store, but we are looking forward to recommencing them once our church buildings are restored.

Bundles of Love – since the flood we’ve been preparing and delivering ‘Bundles of Love’ directly to residents who were affected by the flood. These bundles have a variety of items, like blankets, beanies, scarves, personal and hygiene items and fuel and food vouchers.
